AƱejamiento: 14 months in oak
The Montecillo Crianza was fermented in tank followed by 14 months in French oak. It is medium ruby āāin color with aromas of cedar, spice, and red currant. It is medium bodied with well integrated tannin and flavors of cherry, blackberry, and a touch of vanilla. A very good value, and a fine achievement considering that 2002 was no more than an average vintage, this Rioja will drink well for another 4-6 years.
āJay Miller (Robert Parker, Wine Advocate)
Tobacco and licorice notes are dark and alluring in this fleshy red, wrapped around a core of black cherry fruit. Balanced and fresh. Drink now through 2010.
