AƱejamiento: 14 months in oak
The Montecillo Crianza was fermented in tank followed by 14 months in French oak. It is medium ruby ā€‹ā€‹in color with aromas of cedar, spice, and red currant. It is medium bodied with well integrated tannin and flavors of cherry, blackberry, and a touch of vanilla. A very good value, and a fine achievement considering that 2002 was no more than an average vintage, this Rioja will drink well for another 4-6 years.
