It has a bright purple colour, a very intense nose, reminiscent of violets, peonies and red berries. On the palate, it has a silky smoothness, and its delicious fruit lingers for a long time.

ā€“ Winemaker at Drouhin Wines
Maison Joseph DROUHIN has always been deeply involved with the Beaujolais region and was indeed a pioneer when, in the early fifties, they were the first to bottle and ship Beaujolais Nouveau. As for Beaujolais Villages, it is a careful selection of various "terroirs" and micro-climates, all contributing to make this wine synonymous with charm and conviviality.
About the Estate:

Founded in 1880 by Joseph Drouhin, the House is one of the most famous in Burgundy. It has always been managed by family members. Heritage and skills are transmitted through generations. The cellars dating back to the 15th century are a unique place in Burgundy and are listed in the register of French Historical Monuments.

Specialist of Burgundy wines, Joseph Drouhin House has always shown interest in another close winegrowing region: Beaujolais. There, the House Joseph Drouhin selects grapes from the best vineyards with the same care and uses the same production techniques to produce wines representative from the "terroirs" of the Beaujolais.
