CHATEAU TEYSSIER is one of Saint Emilion's best-selling Grand Crus. The wine is made to very high standards using the same equipment and methods as Jonathan Maltus' TOP Singlevineyards.
Viticulture: The wine comes from several plots located in the south-west plain of the Saint Emilion appellation accumulated since 1994. This terroir is mainly composed of sand and in certain areas iron deposits that help to generate wines more accessible to the palate. The majority of the vineyard is close to CHATEAU MONBOUSQUET.
Vinification: The vines are pruned using the double espalier system. Green pruning is carried out and bunches are removed to obtain low yields, greater concentration and to increase quality. The grapes are hand-picked in small trays so that the skins do not break and thus prevent fermentation from starting. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks after cold maceration. It is then aged in French oak barrels with 30% of the barrels being new.
Production: 15,000 boxes.

CHATEAU TEYSSIER es uno de los Grand Cru más vendidos de Saint Emilion. El vino está hecho de muy altos estándares utilizando el mismo equipo y métodos que los TOP Singlevineyard de Jonathan Maltus.
Viticultura: El vino provenience de varias parcelas ubicadas en la planiecie Suroeste de la apelación de Saint Emilion acumuladas desde 1994. Este terroir se compone principalmente de arena y en ciertas áreas depósitos de hierro que ayudan a generar vinos más accesibles al paladar. La mayoría del viñedo está cerca de CHATEAU MONBOUSQUET.
Vinification: Las viñas son podadas en el sistema de doble espaldero. Se hace poda en verde y se eliminan racimos para obtener bajos rendimientos, mayor concentración y aumentar la calidad. Los uvas son cosechadas a mano en pequenas bandejas para que no se rompan las pieles y así evitar que inicie la fermentación. El vino es fermentado en tanques de acero inoxidable después de maceración en frío. Posteriormente es envejecido en barricas de roble francés con un 30% de primer uso.
Producción: 15,000 cajas.
